Parents Against Child Exploitation (PACE)

  • Outlining how PACE is working with the police, social care and voluntary sectors to implement practices around tackling CSE that are considerate of parent needs and family dynamics, improving their ability to keep children safe
  • Considering how schools can work together with parents and carers to ensure children and young people are effectively educated around healthy sexual and emotional relationships, leading them to flag concerns of inappropriate behaviour as early as possible
  • Discussing the relational safeguarding model as an effective way for professionals to respond to the specific ‘grooming’ dynamics between a child and known adults, and the impact this has on the family, while increasing prosecutions
  • Contributing to multi-agency responses to cases of CSE in order to support rebuilding of family relations, ensuring parents are equipped to safeguard as part of the prevention, protection and prosecution process
